Default usbaudio + internal audio: problems on 2.6.0-mm1

I've two sound cards in my system, one is on the motherboard
(Intel xxx) and an external one that is from Creative (Extigy)
connected on USB. I use the extigy and it works using the kernel.

What I dont understand is why do I get these weird fatal errors in my
syslog.

Dec 31 14:23:59 localhost kernel: request_module: failed
/sbin/modprobe -- snd-card-0. error = 256
Dec 31 14:23:59 localhost modprobe: FATAL: Module /dev/aloadC0 not
found.
Dec 31 14:23:59 localhost modprobe: FATAL: Module snd_card_0 not
found.

When I play a music file using mpg123, it also complains about
sampling
rate...

Playing MPEG stream from [Captain Cozmo]The Final Count Down.mp3 ...
MPEG 1.0 layer III, 160 kbit/s, 44100 Hz joint-stereo
unsupported playback rate: 44100
Audio device open for 44.1Khz, stereo, 16bit failed
Trying 44.1Khz, 8bit stereo.
unsupported playback rate: 44100
Audio device open for 44.1Khz, stereo, 8bit failed
Trying 48Khz, 16bit stereo.

Is it just trying the 44100 sampling rate? Or is it more serious...?
Is it related to my syslog errors? dmesg errors?

I'm also attaching the dmesg for my machine. Its a dual xeon system,
running mandrake 9.2 with 2.6.0-mm1 kernel
and as you can see, the kernel does recognise the USB sound card
from creative.

Thanks in advance for your help,
--Elijah
